PETER M. BOUTON (Of Counsel) graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and received his J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William and Mary in 1996. While attending law school, he placed onto the national team of the Appellate Moot Court Competition and worked for the Virginia Commonwealth Attorney's Office as well as public defender offices in both state and federal court. Following his graduation, he served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Sylvan G. Rothenberg and the Honorable Ralph L. DeLuccia, Jr. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic County. Since joining our firm, he has tried more than 40 cases to verdict. He handles a significant amount of appellate work and has numerous favorable published and unpublished decisions, including cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He is primarily involved in the defense of complex litigation involving products liability claims and construction site accidents, including handling insurance coverage and contractual risk transfer issues. He provides seminars to clients and attorneys on products liability and risk transfer issues and is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York as well as the United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit.
