TOMAS B. LIM graduated from The American University in 1991 and New York Law School in 1996. He is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey, as well as in the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of both the New Jersey Bar Association and the New York Bar Association. Mr. Lim practices in construction defect litigation, construction accident liability, products liability, professional liability, general premises liability, and transportation/motor vehicle liability. He has extensive experience representing businesses, developers, design professionals, contractors, property owners, legal professionals, manufacturers, and other individuals in high exposure complex cases. Prior to joining the firm, he was a litigator at a regional defense firm where he set the standard with his wins by way of dispositive motions and appeals. Mr. Lim has multiple published decisions, including 50 Gramercy Park N. Owners Corp. v. GPH Partners LLC (Sponsor), 2016 N.Y. Misc. LEXIS 2190, 2016 NY Slip Op 31085(U), aff’d 149 A.D.3d 635 (2017) (construction defect) and Cleary v. Reliance Fuel Oil Associates, 5 N.Y.3d 859 (2005) (products liability). He has also briefed and argued motions and appeals resulting in favorable unreported decisions involving issues of traumatic brain injury, wrongful death and loss of limb.
